Presented at Trafó House of Contemporary Arts, this audiovisual performance marked the launch of Aqua Obscura, the debut solo album by Zságer Balázs, featuring Takács Dorina (Дeva). The event also included a special guest performance by Italian ambient composer Abul Mogard.
Inspired by Hungarian folklore, Nordic legends and Pagan mythology, Aqua Obscura explores the symbolic and mystical qualities of water, creating a dreamlike world. I designed the album cover, which became the starting point for the visual concept of the performance. The ethereal creature emerging from the water served as the inspiration for the main visual element of the album launch, onto which fluid moving visuals were projected.
Together with Katona Kati we performed the live visuals for the event, while the installation was designed by Karcis Gábor. The live visuals accompanied the performances with slowly evolving organic forms and textures, creating a visual layer that responded to the music in real time.
