Transcendent Waves is a contemporary ambient and deep-listening event series, exploring the relationship between sound, perception and immersive audiovisual experiences curated by Zságer Balázs. This time the event took place at the Hungarian House of Music within a 360° full dome projection environment.
A TouchDesigner-based generative visual system responded to the live performance with evolving visual forms, alongside a responsive light installation by András Nagy. Both systems were audio-reactive, creating a synthesis of visuals, light and spatial audio.
The visuals were inspired by fluid forms and continuously transforming abstract worlds. The 360° dome environment expands the traditional frame of moving image, placing the viewer within the visual field rather than in front of it. Without a fixed viewpoint or linear direction, perception changes through movement, position, and perspective, forming an active relationship between the viewer, the image, and the surrounding space.
