The song Emilyen pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of Ágnes Nemes Nagy's birth, weaving the poet's poem Kerti tó (Garden Pond) into Дeva's signature folktronic house sound.
We worked together with Katona Kati on the video, for which we envisioned a psychedelic, hypnotic visual universe that carries the song's meditative, bittersweet mood into image. The original concept was to build the video from visuals used at live concerts, which we ultimately expanded with 3D animation as well. The end result is a pulsing, abstract microcosm built around the metaphor of life's cycle and constant change, all of us drifting through the universe like tiny specks of dust, caught in an endless loop of impermanence and renewal.
